Things have been pretty much the same ol', still not at work at the moment, but am finally getting weekly compensation from ACC now, which means that living has been a bit easier than it had been. I won't lie, I have bought quite a few unnecessary things, but hey, life's short yeah?
In more exciting news, Corey and I finally got a new puppy! We have been thinking about it for a while, and we finally felt like we were ready after losing Stanley in 2023. He is a Maltese/Shih Tzu cross, and we named him Sidney!
I have started reading a new book; it's called 'The Parcel' by Anosh Irani. I will be updating this on my book log shortly. I have said I would read two books by the years' end and I am confident I'll still be able to do this. I haven't done much python learning recently, but that't because looking after a puppy is quite harder than I thought.
Anyway, I still love making sites, and will be making more to come, now that Sidney is settling in, and I have time to do things again!
I really don't know what my goal is with this site, I went from being completely offline for like, five years, now I have IG, FB, Reddit, and this again. I guess I'm not divulging much, but, yeah, it makes me feel really vunerable, but whatever. This is basically just a project for me, to mess around and learn to code websites again. To be honest, it's kinda useless now that AI can create all your coding for you. But I try to learn and do it all myself, that's why my coding is so messy, hahaha!
My next goal is to learn Python. I also want to learn how to use Blender and the Unreal Engine.
I don't really know what I'm doing, but hey, does anyone?
Like most things in my life, I find it difficult to be motivated to continue to pursue hobbies, but am trying to make a change, not only when it comes to things like this, but when it comes to other aspects of my life as well. (it's a work in progress alright 😅)
I guess a website for the most part needs intention, right? I like to keep track of things and to make lists. I thought it'd be cool if I use this as a place to to keep track of my media cosumption, TV shows, movies, music albums I've listened to. I've also been getting back into art again, so may look at positing some of that here at some point, too. This is all just a work in progress.
